I have a condition that means I use a stick most days and I cannot stand around for long. Sitting is fine, walking short distances is fine, standing in a crowded bar for two hours is not happening.
I would like to go to one of these but I keep imagining the practical bits going wrong. Somewhere with no seats, or up a flight of stairs, or a venue that is a fifteen minute walk from where you can actually park. And then having to explain all of that to a group of strangers on the day.
Has anyone here dealt with this? Is it reasonable to ask an organiser about access beforehand, or does that come across as making a fuss before I have even turned up?
