We have been together about a year and I told her a few months ago that I like feet. She took it well, better than I had any right to expect, and it has not been weird between us at all.
The problem is her, not the reaction. She keeps saying things like her feet are ugly, or that she has awful toes, or that she does not know what I see. She has a scar on one foot from an operation when she was a teenager and she is very aware of it. When I say I honestly like them she thinks I am just being nice.
How do I handle this without it becoming a thing where I am constantly complimenting her feet and she is constantly deflecting? That already feels like a loop we are in and I do not want to make her more self-conscious than she already is.
